A national legal, institutional, and organizational framework that aligns with international standards and practices, as contained in the United Nations Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics, is essential for the building of a legitimate national statistical system that produces and disseminates credible official statistics. This report presents the findings and recommendations from a comprehensive analysis of the institutional, organizational, and technical capacity of Mongolian national statistical system, including the National Statistical Office (NSO) and other government entities. The review involved inputs from these entities, international development partners, users of official statistics and selected local end users of statistical products.
