The Industry Employment Network Database: Measuring Local Access to Productive Inputs in the Philippines
This brief introduces the Industry Employment Network (IEN), a measure for comparing local access to industrial inputs for all cities and municipalities of the Philippines.
Using employment data from 217 industries, the geographic distribution of IEN is mapped and tracked from 2012 to 2021. The brief illustrates how the IEN database can support local planning using the example of Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan.
