From Pasture to Market: How Dairy Collection Centers Are Enhancing Income of Mongolian Farmers
In 2019, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a loan facility to Milko Limited Liability Company―one of Mongolia’s leading dairy producers―to expand processing operations and boost raw milk and fruit procurement from smallholder farmers.
ADB conducted baseline and endline surveys to measure the project’s impact on beneficiary herders. This working paper presents the endline findings, highlighting improved milk collection, increased farmer incomes, and broader economic gains between 2019 and 2024.
