The Global Forum on Productivity at 10 Past and Future Perspectives on Reviving Productivity Growth
OECD
2025.09.16
This book marks the 10th anniversary of the OECD’s Global Forum on Productivity (GFP), reflecting on a decade of contributions to the global policy debate on productivity. Since its inception in 2015, the GFP has served as a platform for advancing policy-relevant research, sharing best practices, and deepening international collaboration on productivity-related challenges. Against the backdrop of a widespread slowdown in productivity growth, the GFP’s work has become increasingly vital.

Drawing on its research, convening efforts, and communications efforts, the GFP has explored key drivers of productivity across five central themes: frontier firms and business dynamism, internationalisation and global value chains, human capital and skills, technological change (including telework), and institutional frameworks for productivity. This book highlights how the GFP’s work has shaped thinking in these areas and aligned with emerging policy frameworks. Further, the book also looks ahead, identifying unresolved questions and new frontiers in productivity research.
