Estimating the Economic Costs of Violence Against Women in Bhutan
This paper shares findings on the estimated economic costs of violence against women and girls in Bhutan to help provide additional policy tools for combating and preventing violence.
Based on the study findings, the paper recommends strategic resource reallocation, targeted policy interventions to comprehensively address violence against women and girls and mitigate its far-reaching impacts, and increased investment in preventive programs, which currently receive minimal funding.
