Korea attends APEC MRT Meeting

The Korean government attended the 28th APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade (MRT) Meeting from May 21 to 22, which was held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Korea presented policy recommendations in three sessions: 1) The Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP), 2) A support for the multilateral trading system, 3) A future after COVID-19, focusing on the new trade issues such as supply chain stabilization, a response to climate change and digital transition to improve APEC operation and its capacity.
The Korean government also contributed to creating the environment in the Asia-Pacific region that supports the new industrial and trade strategy to boost Korea’s industrial competitiveness.
