The Deputy Minister for International Affairs of Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ji-Young Choi and the Vice Minister for International Affairs of Japan’s Ministry of Finance, Kanda Masato, conveyed the second Korea-Japan Finance Deputies’ Dialogue on March 8.
The meeting was held to maintain the cooperation between the two countries’ financial authorities following the 1st Korea-Japan Finance Deputies’ Dialogue, 8th Korea-Japan Finance Ministers’ Dialogue, and the signing of a $10 billion currency swap agreement.
In this dialogue, both sides discussed the global economy and financial market trends, major issues in the multilateral arena (G20, ASEAN+3), and the upcoming 9th Korea-Japan Finance Ministers’ Dialogue, which require exchange of views and cooperation. The two countries exchanged their views on the relevant issues based on their amicable relationship and agreed to continue close cooperation at the working level as well.
